Rio Grande City Grulla Independent School District had a vision of having a New Performing Art Center for all students to perform their talents and award-winning One-Act Plays, Choir Recitals, Folkloric Dance Recitals, Mariachi, Band, Orchestra Concerts, UIL Contests, Ceremonies, and Conferences.

RGCG Independent School District extended the opportunity to The Warren Group Architects to design a new performing arts center with a capacity of 900 seats, one stage with catwalks, an audio-visual room, and two multipurpose rooms that comply with UIL contest standards. In addition, the proposed design is to include an interior and exterior covered pre-function area, administrative offices for the Fine Art department, two dressing rooms, storage rooms, a loading dock, and restrooms for public and student use.

TWG designed the façade by incorporating local Rio Grande City historical brick and the valleys split face finish block in a banding pattern along with the metal panels as combination of history and innovation for future growth.
